Lucknow: IAS officer Kinjal Singh has officially assumed charge as the Transport Commissioner of Uttar Pradesh. Soon after taking over, she convened a meeting with departmental officials to review the progress of various schemes, programs, and ongoing projects under the transport department.
Addressing the officials, Singh emphasized the need for commitment, discipline, and integrity in executing responsibilities in line with the state government’s vision. She cautioned that any negligence, laxity, or lack of accountability would not be tolerated, and strict action would be taken against those found guilty of dereliction of duty.
She further directed that all officers and staff must ensure punctuality, complete their assignments within the stipulated time frame, and uphold accountability towards citizens. Singh underlined that efficient service delivery would help strengthen public trust and build a positive perception of the department across the state.

Notably, Kinjal Singh has previously served in several key positions, including Director General of Medical Education, where she successfully implemented a series of constructive reforms. With her administrative expertise, expectations are high that the transport department will witness significant improvements and corrective measures under her leadership.
